There’s something powerful about beginning the year slowly.
This year’s Visions & Vibes felt especially tender — not because it was bigger or louder, but because it was quieter. More spacious. More intentional. It reminded me (again) why we keep returning to this ritual, year after year.
Now in its sixth year, Visions & Vibes has evolved into something that feels less like an event and more like a pause — a moment to consciously complete the year we’ve just lived, and to gently begin imagining what’s next.
Completing Before Creating
Rather than rushing into goals or resolutions, we began by honoring what had already passed.
Through intentional journaling, participants were invited to write a “Dear 2025” letter — a space for gratitude, release, and honest reflection. From there, we explored what was ready to be let go of, what it has cost us to hold on, and what kind of space becomes available when we finally release what no longer serves.
Only then did we begin to look forward.
This rhythm — completion before creation — felt grounding, human, and deeply supportive.
Mindful Visioning as a Mini Retreat
Visions & Vibes isn’t about forcing clarity or manufacturing certainty. It’s about listening.
We moved through gentle movement, breathwork, meditation, and sound to help participants settle into their bodies before transitioning into mindful vision boarding. Instead of focusing on what we should want, we invited curiosity around how we want our lives to feel — what an aligned day looks like, how we want to show up, and who we are becoming as we move into the year ahead.
In many ways, this gathering felt like a mini retreat — a few hours set aside to slow down, reconnect, and remember that clarity often arrives when we stop pushing for it.
The Power of Gathering
What continues to move me most is the collective energy that forms when people choose to show up with openness and care.
There was laughter, quiet reflection, moments of stillness, and a shared sense of “I’m not doing this alone.” That feeling — of being witnessed and supported — is something I don’t take lightly.
A portion of the event proceeds was donated to All Who Meditate and Land of Compassion Buddha, extending the intention of the gathering beyond the day itself and into the wider community. It felt meaningful to know that simply by being present, participants were also contributing to collective care.
Letting It Unfold
As always, there’s no urgency to do anything with what was created.
Visions & Vibes isn’t about immediate action — it’s about planting seeds, trusting timing, and allowing insight to unfold naturally. Journals can be revisited. Vision boards can shift. Intentions can soften and evolve.
Sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do at the start of a new year is simply listen.
I’m deeply grateful to everyone who joined us for Visions & Vibes 2026. Thank you for showing up with so much presence, honesty, and heart. I’m still holding the energy of this gathering — and trusting that what we planted together will continue to grow, in its own time.
Up next, we're hosting our Virtual Visions & Vibes 2026, coming up on Wednesday January 28th from 7pm-9pm pst. If you've been looking for a safe space to reflect, close out the previous year, and create for 2026, we would love to share space with you there.
